3.The Bran Castle- between myth and history

Is situated near Bran and in the immediate vicinity of Brașov, is a national monument and landmark in Romania. The fortress is situated on the border between Transylvania and Wallachia.

Commonly known as “Dracula’s Castle”, it is often referred to as the home of the title character in Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

The castle is now a museum dedicated to displaying art and furniture collected by Queen Marie

At the bottom of the hill is a small open-air museum park exhibiting traditional Romanian peasant structures (cottages, barns, etc.) from across the country.

 4. Turda Salt Mine

A salt mine located in the Durgău-Valea Sărată area of Turda, the second largest city in Cluj County, Romania. Since its opening to tourists in 1992, Salina Turda has been visited by about 2 million Romanian and foreign tourists.

Is a real museum of salt mining in Transylvania recently transformed in an incredible amusement park for all ages and tastes.It includes everything from an amphitheater to ferris wheel, mini golf course and ping pong courts.

Business Insider ranked at the top of their list of the ten “coolest underground places in the world”. The salt mine can be visited any time of the year, from Monday to Sunday.

5. Sarmizegetusa Regia

The famous Romania’s version of Stonehenge, formerly known as the capital of Dacian Kingdom, the ancient and brave dacian soldiers, one of the most important military, religious and political centre of the Dacians prior to the wars with the Roman Empire.

Is included in UNESCO World Heritage Tour for being one of the oldest and historical ancient places, a must-see for history enthusiasts and adventurers.

6. Casino Constanta

Once considered Romania’s Monte Carlo and a symbol of the City of Constanța, the most-recent and modern version was built in Art Nouveau style, also being the most important Art Nouveau building in the country, designed and built according to the plans of Daniel Renard and inaugurated in August 1910.

Is designated by the Romanian Ministry of Culture and National Patrimony as a historic monument, wich once hosted the Russian Imperial family and glamorous royal parties.
